Gotta admit, I'm a Joomla beginner. However, I am really enjoying messing around with the whole system on my localhost server. The only problem is that I am learning this to develop a photography site. Not that a photo site is a problem, just that, the templates that I had seen for Mambo were very creative and a good many were free. Does not seem to be so for Joomla. As a photographer I am looking for some templates (free at first) that are, shall we say, less for blogging and corporate and more of a graphics intensive nature. In other words, I am looking for an animal that stands out for photos more than blog and article content. Or, a template that is easily customizable for my photographs. Part of my quandry is probably my inexperience with CSS, PhP and photoshop. I do not know how to design my own template. That comes of 30 years of shooting film and only starting digital photographic  input to the computer last year.

If anyone knows of some free templates that can be customized then I would appreciate a shout out. I have looked all round the 'net and found a few that were close. Some required a paid membership to download and I appreciate that. I just don't want to invest in something that I may find, after some time wokring with it, doesn't really meet my needs. What exactly are my needs? Won't know for sure until I find it. Thanks for taking the time to read this.
I better quit writing this, I see I have only about 18,528 characters left.

(addendum: I hope this doesn't post twice, my wife picked up the phone and cut off the wireless network just at the second I clicked POST)
