Hello,

I use joomla with community builder and added phpbb and coppermine. I used the bridges by mehdi to link all that. No problem in my old site. However once I transfered everything here it seems some strange things happen.
I think I changed all parameters in the database and config files.
However, if i go to www.asian-addict.com and try to login, the user menu does not appear. Instead, I still have blank fields for user and password. However, if I click on "home" which brings me to http://asian-addict.com/.... then ok I see the user menu appearing and I am really logged in.
In my old website when I clicked on "login", I was redirected directly to the address without "www." so I had no problem wether arriving from the address with www or from the address without www. I'm a little confused...  :-?Is there something else to change except database and config files? something to do with the php.ini or the .htaccess files? or the CB component to reinstall?
thanks for any help Hug

I don't know if this is the problem or not, but Joomla makes a big fuss if your site, in configuration.php, is named as http://yourdoman.com, or http://www.yourdomain.com. If it is named one way, but you get there using the other url, I know some of the editors quit working. I'd check to see how your url is named in configuration.php, & keep everything matching.

Personally, I've chosen to list mine: http://www.mydomain.com, as it seems to be more common for most users.

I don't use the other scripts, but I'm guessing all the configs have to match, with or without the www.

Yes actually I tried to rename everything with www. in all url before, was better for joomla main page, but when I tried to enter the forum, it said that I tried to enter a private area...
So as in my old website all was set without www, I thought to try that way, because in my old website even if you arrive through www., once you click on "login" you're redirected to the address without www. , so everything is fine, but it does not behave that way here, I don't know why...
Well in the meantime, I'll try to change more of these things   Hypno
