Can't upload to my Coppermine photo galllery...

Hi, I can't upload to my photo gallery. It's not a new gallery, I already have pictures on it, I've tried re-setting the factory settings, I've tried lots of different pictures of different sizes, and it won't let me add ANY. It just keeps saying 'the previous file could not be placed' ... any ideas??
