I was wondering if you had any thoughts about deal a day scripts to set up sites like www.woot.com  ..  I've been thinking of using wordpress and a shopping cart of some sort, but I thought there might be something better designed for what they do...  Any thoughts?

Thanks so much.

Hey,

Are you referring to Shopping carts ?   Not Me hmm if that is the case We have few shopping cart scripts available on fantastico : Oscommorce, Zencart etc.

I am a wordpress fan Wink so, if you are planning to make a online shop with wordpress, here is something you may have a look at
Its a premium theme ( means you will need to purchase it ) http://www.markettheme.com/

I would highly suggest WordPress, I think it would more than likely be the most flexable but you might want to search around for a specific theme for this or get ready to get your hands a little dirty customizing the theme code to fit your needs.

dinsanfrancis,  No, I was looking at the whole site, not just the shopping cart.  Take a look at some of the deal a day websites out there like www.woot.com .  To me it just looks like a blog with a shopping cart.  But I was curious if there was anything out there set up to do exactly what they are doing.

Mitch,  Thanks,  yeah, I look wordpress too.  I use it on several sites, and it hasn't let me down yet.  I found quite a few free themes that were pretty close to what I wanted for the existing sites, so it didn't take much to get things going...
