Hi. I started with Moodle installed via Fantastico some time ago. During my last update, I took the extra step of converting the database to UTF-8 encoding, per Moodle's requirements. As far as I know, Fantastico continues to install applications with latin-1 encoding.

Can I use the Fantastico updater to go to version 1.9.2, or must I do this manually from here on? In other words, does Fantastico expect to see latin-1 tables, and if so, what would it do when it encounters my UTF-8 tables (which are, actually, the Moodle server environment spec now.)

thanks, if you know!
