I'm using SMF 1.1.8, Classic YaBB Theme.

Members are complaining about the look of the "quote block" in posts where one member quotes another:

1. The line of the box is right up against the text, and
2. The text is way too small.  We'd like it to be the same size as the default text size for posts.
(See example here: http://www.chnetwork.org/forum/guidelines-orientation-and-technical-help/test-posting-features-here/msg52441/#msg52441 )

How can I tweak the formatting of the material shown when someone quotes another?

Thanks!

If you are using the default theme or one that is based on the default theme, you simply need to edit the style.css file for the theme in use. Find the section that starts .quote and alter the CSS lines as needed. The default theme uses x-small font size and padding of only 1 pixel. You could start by changing it to medium font size and 5px of padding.

A little further down you will find the .quoteheader CSS which also can use a little tweaking, I found that changing the font size from x-small to small was about right.
