Hi All,

I am new and require some help. - I have recently established a fourm and upgraded that tot he latest version (2.0.11) but have run inot a snag...

Within the admin interface I have tried to upload a backup copy of another forums data base and after the upload process completes I get the message no file was uploaded?

The file size is 15 megs and ends with a .sql extension. Is this a file type I can not use with MYSQL? or is something else wrong??

Thanks

The file may be too big, you could create a php.ini file if not already created and edit the max upload files. More info on this can be found at http://www.lunarforums.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=22191

Thanks for the reply!! I did follow the instructions and uploaded the php.ini and alter the htacess but still have some problems. The upload seems to make it to the point that it is complete then and get "page can not be dislplayed" error.

I will review the information again but is you or anyone has experience in uploading a DB of 16 megs please let me know.

Thanks in advance.

php.ini = upload_max_filesize = 20M
post_max_size = 20M

htaccess = suPHP_ConfigPath /home/username/public_html (username was changed to mine)

I have imported a database about 800mb as an uncompressed text file (I uploaded it Gzipped mind you!).

I uploaded the file gzipped to a folder on my site. I then unzipped it and used a little script that imported the database 20,000 lines at a time until it was done (around 9 million lines in all I think it was).

Anyway, enjoy: http://www.ozerov.de/bigdump.php
