FYI, my situation was resolved. I have horde back. I really depend on HORDE filters and my inboxes were filling up. I don't know where I would go (if not LP), but I have been thinking about upgrading to dedicated.

LP has been good for me for quite a while and I was trying to be patient with the Horde issue. I do appreciate their action to disable vulnerable sections, but I think I was waiting for horde to come back for over 30 days. Seeing this thread and realizing that an estimate was not forthcoming kind of pushed me over the edge.

Happy to hear it jacknorth.  I promise there is no secret conspiracy theory against Horde users and we would like to get it back to you as soon as possible.  Right now things are just taking a little longer to take place than originally thought - and if I know the server people, they would rather get it done right the first time and be a little slower than do it it quickly and have to take it down again to fix it again, ect.  We always appreciate feedback no mater if it is pro, con or neutral.

If anybody else would like to share theirs, please do so at feedback@lunarpages.com.  Thanks!

Yes, Horde is still unavailable on some but not all servers.  There still has been no ETA, but if or when there is I will be sure to update you via this thread here.  Thanks!

It's too unprofessional to not be able to give an ETA.. I (we) don't ask you to hurry, or do anything you can't do.. But you know yourself how long it have taken til this point, and how many servers there is left. I would have settled with 1mounth as ETA....

Hi,

Regarding Gallifrey I apologize for the issue as mentioned by Mitch at this time the process is still on going.

I would like to address the Horde issue real quick here as well.

The issue was that Horde had a security flaw in it so it had to be disabled. Horde and Squirrel mail are both bundled webmail clients that are included in cPanel. As, we have to open a ticket with cPanel to provide their staff with information regarding the issue. We have received information and we are gradually working in the updates for Horde. Which involves updating the cPanel interfaces on each of the affected servers. These are done gradually to ensure the security patch does work without any issues as there would be no need to to do all of them at once if the patch is not successful.

Thank you for your pateince and understanding this matter. Please keep checking the thread Mitch provided as this will be updated once our server staff has information available.

This is like rubbish!! cPanel fixed this problem a month ago.. You can't be serious..!!!
It's not that much of a problem to give a ETA..
A ETA is just that; estimated time... We don't ask you for a accurate time when this will be fixed.. just a estimate...

Hi Jann,

There is another issue with cpanel that we are awaiting a fix for. The "resolved" issue with horde as fixed in the version 11.18.3-RELEASE_21703 unfortunately brought to light a severe situation with the dcpumon script which increased server load and grossly inflated customer CPU usage statistics.
In the interest of customers we have been awaiting the release version of build 23462 as inflated usage statistics could lead to unnecessary and unwarranted suspension of acccounts or result in them being unfairly moved to an abuse server.
We only use the release version as we do not believe in subjecting customers to bleeding edge (test or beta) versions.
If you check out http://layer2.cpanel.net/ you will see that the 23462 build has now been moved up to current and is expected to move to release over the next day or so.
I hope this explains the issue in more detail for you, as soon as this build moves up to release we will resume updating cpanels and enabling horde at the same time.

Gallifrey has been totally restored (was earlier this morning) and all should be back to normal now.  If you are still noticing issues with your hosting plan on the Gallifrey server please contact support@lunarpages.com and they will be more than happy to look into the situation for you.  Thank you all for your time and patience with this issue - it is highly appreciated!

For the latest on Horde, please see Stephanie's excellent description of where we are now with that issue here.

I keep hoping and waiting that this issue will be resolved. It's a shot in the dark every time I log into my cPanel and every time I'm disapointed. This has been going on since March and still nothing. It's nice to see some users get traction, but it doesn't help me a whole lot. What does it take to get some resolution on this? I've called support and it echoes the same thing as the forums....no eta. I spent months researching web hosting providers and Lunarpages seemed like the best way to go. I'm really starting to doubt my decision. I'm currently on Hoderi.

Hi,

Thank you for your patience with regards to this issue, we have been updating all servers during this week and enabling horde.
Hoderi will be done today and we hope to have all servers completed over the weekend.

Thank you for restoring this. It took a longer than what I expected, but I'm glad to have it back.
