Working in Support I come across this time to time.

I can't unistall a fantastico script, it no longer has the unistall option.

When, you are in cPanel you will need to remove all instances of this script manually.

I know this sounds like one of those mission impossible task, but I have done this myself many times on my own.

Please note it is a good rule to always make a backup for just in case.

When deleting files and folders do not purge the trash until you have checked everything and all is functioning, the reason is in case you delete something that is a direct system file. You may want install or upload what content in it's place to assure everything is working as well.

You can work this either way which all scripts are in three places. MySql which all have a database. .Fantastico which has it's own folder in that directory. Public_html were it is present as well.

In MySql you will need to delete the corresponding database and users as well, so no instance or trace left.

In file manager: .fantastico inside that folder you can delete the script name folder example: Joomla delete the folder this will remove all of it's contents. also while in this directory click the file installed_in_root.php then click edit, and removing the section of code that applies to the
root in question.

An example would be:

< ?
$installed_in_root["domain.com"] = 1;
? >

After this is removed, any new script should then be able to be installed in the
root of the primary domain or addon domain.

You're almost done.

Now inside the public_html folder, this is the tricky part. If, you installed the script in the root of public_html, then you will need to delete the files showing and delete the corresponding folders with it.   You want to just leave everything in trash in case you need to restore anything. Don't purge the trash can yet.

These instructions also work for sub and addon domains as well, just remember to not purge your trash can until you are certain everything is functional.

That's it, you are done!

I hope you found this useful, let me know if I didn't provide enough detail.
