I am trying to install phpBB3 on my website.  I uploaded all the files and went to the installation page.  After I passed the Requirements page, I get the page for Database Settings.  Seems like no matter what I enter, I always get an error message "Could not connect to the database, see error message below.  Access denied for user *@'localhost' to database 'forum'"

I have also tried creating the database in MySQL and adding my username to it, but still get the same error message (have since deleted the database in MySQL).  Where is my error?

EDIT: I will also add that I tried installing SMF forum after becoming frustrated and encountered the same problem.
