Well, the files were there. I ran the update and it shows Powered by phpBB 2.0.11 after I ran the update file. I have deleted the install and contrib folders to remove the warning message.

If the files were there, then my problem must have been running the update.  How did you do that part?

Since the files were there, at least I know that I was/am uploading correctly.

Thank you so much for taking the time to answer my questions and ultimately doing the update.  I didn't expect that, but I do greatly appreciate it!  Very Happy

Keep your fingers crossed, now I'm off to install some Styles, Avatars, and other fun things.   Rolling Eyes

Thank you again!

You're welcome. Smile

I went to your website and added the install dir to the URL, and pasted the name of the update file. I don't know what might have happened earlier... maybe the file wasn't there the first time or there was a typo in the URL used. Confused

Now I have moved on to Styles, smilies, and Avatars.

I have installed a few smilies, but I found a few without a php.pak file.

So I downloaded a packer.

It told me to but the php.pack file in a folder with all the smilies that I wanted to use and then RUN the php.pack file.

Then put the smilies and the .pak file in the smilie folder.

I did the first part, but I do not know how to RUN the php.pack file.

Where do I go to do this or is there another way to install smilies without a .pak file?

Thanks for your time again!

If the smilies don't come in a pak, you can put them in the smiles directory, images/smilies.

Then install the smilies following the instructions here.
