postnuke and phpbb compatibility

Anyone know what the difference is between the bulletin board that is under the fantastico icon and the bulletin board icon on the control panel?
Also, if I install the phpBB bullitin board, will that work w/ my postnuke install so that I can eventually do whatever it takes to make it work as a module in postnuke? I noticed somewheres that phpbb can only install in the top level and this is an addon domain that I have postnuke working as in a sublevel dir.
Any help much appreciated.

if you only have one database available you cannot install phpbb through fantastico
you could do it manually but having postnuke and phpbb in one database is not recommended.
if the database crashes, or get currupt, then nothing will work
but it's possible
installing phpbb manually is better because you can download the latest version from the phpbb site.
there are guides available on phpbb to install it manually (also on lunarforums)

they used to be different version but now their not, their both their because other companies that use CPanel dont have fantastico, so they only have the bulletin board options
