Hello,

In my phpBB forum I have changed the setting for my timezone (GMT -5) but no matter what I set it at, it seems to have its own time zone off by 9 or ten hours... changing the setting seems to have no effect.

Has anyone else had this problem?  Is there a Fix?

Thanks!

It's the nature of the internet. The time is based on the server time, located in California. The timezone settings are just offsets calculated based on server time.

Could you post a link to your forum?

Hijamiemcquinn, Pete waves

You should be able to goto your administration panel and under general admin section is a system timezone setting.
Is that what your trying to set ?
Each member of your BB can then goto personal settings and alter your BB to display their local timezone
It is currently set at the default GMT ( my time)

Ah ha! That's it!

Even though I set the General Setting for the board correctly, my personal profile was set for something else.

Problem solved!

That was fast!

Thank you! Thank you!   Applause  Applause
