Hello I am trying to upload a 7 meg pdf file in wordpress using the uploader built in.
When I do this it say error loading exceeds file size in php.ini
I see one php.ini file in public_HTML directory I see no limits in there, I also hear you can mod ht.acssess to do this but it locked up when I tried it I just want a 10meg file upload limit.

Anyone know how to fix this on a word press install

also is this the right post area for word press ?

I am running 2.3.2

I'm having the same problem with Wordpress, except that I don't see php.ini in public_html. Do I need to create the file and then edit it to allow for larger uploads? And if so, how?

Hey,

This can be done with the php.ini file. Here is how you do it

Create a file under public_html and name it php.ini ( if you do not have one yet. )  Put the following in it

upload_max_filesize = 5M
post_max_size = 5M

Replace the 5 with whatever size you want. If you are letting other people
upload, a size cap protects your storage space from abuse/overuse.

You will then need to add this line to a .htaccess file:
(Please replace "yourusername" with your cpanel user name an add to the end of the comand line the folder(s) to the location of the php.ini file - Also there is a space between path and /home)

suPHP_ConfigPath /home/Yourusername/public_html

Thanks
