We just moved our site to a vps plesk server and having trouble getting scripts to run.  Some of the scripts we have are outside of the cgi-bin folder and I wanted to confirm that vps does not allow scripts to run outside of the cgi-bin folder?  I was informed by someone that all cgi-scripts had to be in the cgi-bin folder in order to work, yet being that we are on a plesk server, I would think that there is a way to make them work outside of the folder?  Is there a mod that needs to be installed?  We were previously on a Lunarpages business plan and they worked fine.  What am I missing?

Hello ewhitaker,

The first thing to check for this issue is if the domain where CGI scripts should be executed not in the cgi-bin has CGI enabled under setup section. If it is, I would recommend checking domain error logs under statistics folder or appropriate section in Plesk to see what is the issue. I am sure where will be no problems with running CGI scripts not only from cgi-bin in Plesk.
