Hi
How do I protect a subdomain directory in Plesk? The directory protection only starts at the doc root ie. / = /sitename/httpdocs/, and subdomains are stored in /sitename/subdomains/sitename/httpdocs

Or do I have to make a .htaccess file manually?

cheers

Hi,

Unfortunately, Plesk does not provide such functionality. You can manually create .htaccess file and generate necessary logins/passwords using htaccess. Or you can use more Plesk friendly way and create the subdomain as a domain not checking www box during setup. You will be able to to protect the folders now because the subdomain will be a domain for Plesk.

I hope this helps.
