I am new to the forum but have been a LP customer for over a year. I have been interested in starting a web business and am interested in this discussion. Would like to be notified if, when, it is rolled out.

I have a few reseller aside from a shared lunar plan things that would be nice and attract costumers are: -a billing client (clientexec, modernbill) -enom account -WHM (though I'm getting more and more interested in HSphere panel for a cluster-type system) - all the usual other stuff  anyway just some thoughts on what I think would be considered a good deal. |

Hello, The reseller plan comes with WHM access. It does not let you reboot the server, we take care of looking after the servers for you, but you can edit your customer accounts using it.  Thank you for the other suggestions, I'm sure they will all be considered. |

You can only resell the Shuttle plan by the way, not Voyager (at the time of writing).
You can customise the Voyager plans if you want. The Shuttle plans now come with so much space and bandwidth, I can't see how you would want to customise them, but we will have an option for you:
You can order a dedicated server from us, then make up exactly the kind of plan you like, that might be better if you want even more options. We have 3 different sizes of dedicated server, and you can also cluster them if you like.

Hi skamfroj, I wanted to clarify how the Reseller plan works. Right now, it is a basic plan which is detailed here: http://lunarpages.com/plan4.phpWe currently have no other plans available but will in the future. For the pricing, it is reduced based on how many accounts you purchase, and you can email us at reseller@lunarpages.com or resellers@lunarpages.com (both addresses go to the same location on the Help Desk) for details on exactly how the plan is setup. For the accounts you resell, you can certainly re-price the plan for individual users, but the basic package is set for the configuration. You cannot modify the basic package itself, although you are certainly free to purchase additional addons like extra databases, a dedicated IP, extra addon domains, and so on for each account you purchase under the Reseller package. Again, you can email us for questions, or we can even call you to discuss the plan if you email us your phone number and the best time to call from between the hours of 7am-5pm Pacific time. through WHM i have control of making whatever hosting plans i want, however i want them, edit accounts, check server stats/status, ban IPs, ban accoutns, plus tons of other features
if you have all this stuff and maybe even more scripts/fantastico support, better price/space/bandwidth and maybe even some sort of special where if you buy a year reseller you get a free (private) domain for life/deticated IP
like i said...i pay 33 bucks a month for all the above plus more that i jsut can't really explain...if you could beat that....you would have me for life
(and BTW..this is actually their second smallest reseller plan...and they will also offer customized plans...for what ever the resellers needs may be)
also...i pretty much have control over all my clients...i can add databases (and so can they if they need to)...i pretty much run everything and the only thing i have to ask my host for is if there is a problem. I saw in another thread here that in order for a client to get a new database, i would have to send in a support ticket?...that is just not doable for me...a reseller (if not the client him/herself) should have total control over adding databases and the like...

i would like to have a didecated server.. but currently i cant afford it yet..
i would like to have hosting / domain reseller company. provding packages like 200mb space and 2-5gb bandwidth... basically for small time websites.

i would like to make some thing like this :
plan with 100mb space + 5g bandwidth for $1 a month or less.. will be selling it to small business or people for their personal pages.
annual payment of $10-$15 with domain name (tld)

Hi, For custom designed plans, you would need a dedicated server. We don't have plans at the moment to change the reseller plan, although you can always e-mail your suggestions to feedback@lunarpages.comGenerally speaking though, $1 or less for a hosting plan would be so cheap that you woudn't make any profit reselling it. Domain names cost as much as your annual payment, and if you have to include providing web hosting, I can't see where you profit would come in, as you would have to pay for the server space from us, then still leave enough to make it worth your while. I have seen hosts with prices that seem too good to be true. In my experience they usually are. |

I have several accounts with LP that I had migrated from the Verio reseller program for various reasons.
I am happy to see LP develop a reseller program and I am migrating accounts to it one at a time starting this month.
I have a couple of questions.
Is there a help file for this new program yet?
I was told add-on domains where not offered with the reseller program, however, I see a feature for sub-domains. I've always been a little confused about the differentation between the two.
