When I type web site (wheelchairjunction.com) into the Google bar the only results that I get back is my Word press blog that I set up.  When I search for my site on Yahoo it returns the result web site not found try this direct link (which is my web site wheelchairjunction.com) which takes me right to it.  Why will it not come up in the results when I search using the search engines.  My site has been up for almost a week now.

Thanks
Mike

It can take weeks or even months for a SE to get around to scanning your site. Panicking after one week is unnecessary. You mentioned in your other post that you had submitted to the SEs via LP's tool, so I'd leave it at that and check back in after a month.

Search engines find your site through links to your site from other sites. This is what they need to see. Since Google has found your site, don't put any more effort into submission. Without links from other sites the search engine would be wary of any new site. But with links (and time) come increasing trust and traffic. To find out if search engines know about links to your site from other sites yet, search on Yahoo for:

linkdomain:wheelchairjunction.com -site:wheelchairjunction.com

There are no links showing yet today. When Yahoo shows some of your backlinks, you can assume the other engines know about them as well, but there is no perfect way to really confirm it on the rest.
