I've been using this one: http://www.grsites.com/webtools/rank.shtml

Can y'all share you favorite one(s)...I'd like to try others to see how accurate they are.

Thanks!

Hi RickJ! Mmm Coffee

I suggest limiting automated queries to a minimum because Glooge says it violates their terms of service. They will ban IPs that use too much of their resources this way. I'm curious what others think of this.

Wow!

I've not heard that before...so I too will be interested to see what others say.

...and in the meantime not run those auto searches just in case

Try a web search for "automated queries" + ban.

See what comes up. Should be entertaining. Wish I knew where they drew the line, though. Confused

Glogge has its own applications that are permitted, and I suppose it could be possible that some of the services out there have permission, but I'm not sure. Maybe someone else knows. The one  mentioned that best be avoided is WebsomethingorotherGold.

I'm sure glad I asked about this.  I'm not going to take any chances.  I've got great ranking for my "pet term" in both Google and Yahoo ... I'd sure hate to screw that up in checking other terms.

Oh, I doubt that Ogleog would drop your website's rank for that. Smile

I think they just denied a few users service; that is no searching. One example a while back was a group ban for Comcast because Oogleg couldn't figure out which one was doing it. Sort of like putting the whole class in detention.

I think every once in a while Eggloo just selects a prominent offender and puts their head out on a pike so the rest of us will back off. I doubt they are willing to enforce it across the board.

I think you need a google key to get unrestricted access and develop your own applications. If you just have a few terms why not search for your rank by googleing? If you´re in the top serps it should be easy enough to see?
