I got mailed 2 security alerts:

Root login possible. Change for your safety the 'PermitRootLogin'
SSH version 1 possible allowed!

How do I fix these? I have Plesk

Hi Snooty,

The both warnings can be easily fixed by yourself. Login to the server via ssh as root, open /etc/ssh/sshd_config in your favorite editor, uncomment and change the following settings:

PermitRootLogin to "no"

and

Protocol to "2".

Then restart sshd by executing "service sshd restart".

Please be advised that you will need to create a user in the system and make him the owner of the wheel group in order to be able to ssh into the server and get root privileges after you disable PermitRootLogin.
