Hi all, I would like to know why aol logs my every move on my PC. I am new to the net (one year)
Every time I search for say, broadband connection, the next time I log on aol will offer me broadband, If I watch a DVD on my PC and then log on it will offer me a new DVD Player and so on.
I run adwhere or something like that and found 22 things tracking my moves, I got rid of them but aol would not run without them?
I would like to get another server that dose not bug my system, any help would be great.
Thanks Graham

I saw you live in England.

I'm guessing you have ADSL ?

I use www.freedom2surf.net and it's a really good service, with no adverts etc.

You can bring your own ADSL modem and filters, there are no limitations on the amount you download etc and it's £22.50 a month.

512k download speed.

No adverts anyway! What you described sounds REALLY bad!

Thats a fantastic price  "[Smile]"

Shame I can't get it were I live (Mid-West Wales).  Even cheaper than a Home Highway line.

Some ISP's are doing broadband sattelite trials at the moment.

I think tiscali.co.uk are doing it now.

Can you get cable in your area?
