Been hacked and am busy repairing the damage, or i think I am.   I'm removing the inserted code by hand and uploading to galatea.  When I upload, the date and time of the upload is correct.  When I go back later, I'm noticing that the dates and times on the files are +5 hrs from the time I uploaded them.   Date and time on my computer is correct.   Should I be concerned about this?

What timezone are you in (GMT+/-n)? Compare the file timestamps against your local time -- are they showing PDT (LP's timezone, GMT-7)? FTP clients usually show the server timestamp, which would be LP's time, not your local time. There's always the chance that the server's clock is off, too.

Am on Central time   ...I guess GMT-6.  They're definitely not showing PDT.   Just looking at the map, they seem to be consistent with Novia Scotia  or Greenland....GMT-1 or so.   They'll be correct for my timezone for a little while, and then when I look back they've moved 5 hours into the future.   I'd expect california time, but definitely not seeing it.

If file times are wandering all over the place, forward and backwards, and you're not doing anything on your PC, I'd put in a ticket and tell support what you're seeing. Maybe something's going on with your particular server. AFAIK, LP keeps all servers on Pacific Time. On the other hand, if your files "update themselves", and stay young whenever you change them back, suspect that the hacker is still hitting your files. Change all your passwords (account, FTP, cPanel, etc.), scan your PC for spyware that is grabbing your passwords, and examine all files, especially those that keep updating and those you can't account for.

Okay, that was kind of what I was afraid you'd say.   All paswords are changed, both work computer and home computer scanned and rescanned, checked for updates for guestbooks n discussion boards, etc.

Have tested both from home and work by making changes to files, and the date wierdness happens both from work and home....   will keep an eye on things....
