I've noticed that my FTP sessions timeout after just a few minutes (about 5?).

That's a bit too fast for me.  Is there anyway to set the timeout to something longer?  I looked in the control panel, but didn't see a way to do it there.

Thanks,
Steve

You can get your ftp program to send commands every couple of minutes, to stop it timing out.

It will be in the options/settings/preferences of your ftp client.

Stephan,

Thank you for your suggestion.

I couldn't find that timeout setting in my rather old version of ws_ftp.  I'll try a newer version.

Look for the 'keep-alive' settings in the program options.
