I just set up my Windows Live Mail to send and receive email from my website email address. I entered all the information as shown in CPanel, and while it receives the information okay, I can't send anything out and get this message:

An unknown error has occurred.

Subject 'test'
Server: 'mail.essexmums.org'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC0B
Protocol: SMTP
Port: 25
Secure(SSL): Yes

Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

Change server to just essexmums.org without the word "mail". Enable SMTP authentication. Try changing the port to 587.

Thanks for your help, I got it sorted by contacting support in the end. Sorry I didn't check back in sooner - very rude of me.
