I have Spam Assassin setup, but I'm really looking for a platform independent way to completely delete emails identified as spam. There are benefits for using webmail, and working on modem connections... I found a free product that looks like it might do the job, but it requires shell access to install.

SpamBouncher is a freeware product that identifies virus emails, definite spam, and possible spam. It gives you many options for handling the spam. Including sending MAILER_DAEMON bounces, and response emails with passwords (if the original sender uses the password, their email will be accepted). Very powerful and flexible. I think it would be far more useful than SpamAssassin.

Any chance this could be implemented on Lunarpages servers? One of my email accounts gets over 100 emails per day that are spam. This account connects over a dial-up on a Mac... the other options I've seen posted here are not good solutions.

Sometimes things are installed, sometimes they're not, it's up to the owners of lunarpages basically.

Spamassassin is part of CPanel. I'll pass on your message to Max, and Todd, one of our programmers.

Thank you for checking into this for me. I greatly appreciate it. Just a little irony on the auto-generated "Notify me when a reply is posted" message from this issue...

From my email (processed with SpamAssassin):

you should be able to whitelist this address. that is kinda ironic though.

spamassassin + procmail is about the best combination you can find for fighting spam, however I know procmail isn't quite available since you have no shell access.

cheers,
nick
