Hi,

I just noticed some strange issue with webprotect.

I had protected some folders through c-panel webprotect function, and all worked fine.

Then later I turned off directory listings in the same directories... and suddenly the protection was gone!

Is that normal that whenever you change something with a directory, that the access restrictions are removed.... so you need to reapply it after each other change you do?

Regards,
Paul.

It sometimes overwrites the .htaccess files, which control get and post for that directory.  Go in and unprotect them (if they are protected) then re-protect them and you should be fine.

I've found it's best to set other listing/indexing options for a directory in CPanel, and then make web protection the last thing you do for that directory.
