I didn't know what SharePoint was either. I found the following Video Demo.

Happy Happy Joy Joy
Does this mean we will be able to use Project Server anytime soon?  I'm not too fond of microsoft products, but the collaboration software is not bad.  Hope we can use SharePoint and Project Server soon.

Keep up the good work.  Thumbs Up

Not even close to FP. SP is generally more used for presentation websites than "standard" or ecommerce. Used quite often for corporate sites, especially private ones.

I have signed up to be a guinea pig, but I am also interested in your hosting packages. Will you be keeping the sharepoint system, and will there be any additional cost, if someone could let me know I am switching hosting companies now/today. John

Hello everyone,
I am here to clear up the Sharepoint confusion. I have just finished building a WSS platform in Active Directory account creation mode. Meaning you will be able to manage the accounts for your clients and employees. Sharepoint is known as STS or WSS for short. It is designed to be an organized data collaboration software for any size of business. Sharepoint is web based and is built on a separate platform from your current windows hosting account. It has features like contacts, announcements, shared docs, links, alerts, calendars, discussion boards and such. If you want a site, sent a ticket to our Sharepoint desk with the site name you would like. The URL format is http://*.wss.lunarservers.com. So "mysite" would be http://mysite.wss.lunarservers.com.
Thank you.

I want to be part of the beta test but I don't see a "Sharepoint desk" anywhere. If I just send in a normal help ticket with "SharePoint beta test" as the title, will it get to the Sharepoint desk?

Oh, you mean that email address that was shown in the very first post?

* smacks self in forehead *

Thanks for the response. I recently went through administrator training for SharePoint through my work, so I'm excited to be able to use it here. Do you happen to know whether we will have access to SharePoint Portal Server (SPS) or just Windows SharePoint Services (WSS), or (I hope) both?
