what happened to the people that were on the beta, the system crashed and was taken off line,so LP has said:

Dear jflattery1,

---- TECH RESPONSE STARTS HERE ----

Hello John,

The decision to take the servers offline was made because of frequent crashes and server instability due to the configuration that was used when the server was initially setup. We are currently awaiting some new hardware that the sharepoint server can be setup on that will be more stable and reliable. IT will also provide for a better overall user experience. As with most beta programs, there were no guarantee's about server stability, availability, or data integrity which is why this was labled as a beta program. The initial roleout was frought with issues as the system was not stable in it's initial configuration.

When we are ready to rollout the new hardware at the new datacenter the system will be more stable and more robust without all of the issues as was reported with the initial roll out. This is all part of beta testing any application, it may not operate as you expect and should never be used as an environment for a live produciton website. Again I apologize that you were inconvenienced by our decision to take the servers down and not bring them back online in their current configuration.
