Those running Webmin version prior to 1.290 should upgrade immediately.

Here's a quick and easy way for RPM users.
This is for Redhat Linux Distros.

First check the webmin version.  If you are already using 1.310, then there is no need to continue this tutorial.

Code:
rpm -aq | grep webmin

Create a folder to download the webmin rpm.

Code:
[root@server root]# mkdir /root/setup

Go into the folder.

Code:
[root@server root]# cd /root/setup

Download the rpm.

Code:
[root@server setup]# wget http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/webadmin/webmin-1.310-1.noarch.rpm

Install the rpm.

Code:
[root@server setup]# rpm -Uvh webmin-1.310-1.noarch.rpm

After it installs, please restart webmin.

Code:
[root@server setup]# service webmin restart

You should be good to go.

 Yep

EXTRA Information

To change your root password, type the following and you will be asked for a new password.

Code:
[root@server setup]# passwd root

Samba users, please check the following file and delete it.  You will be asked to verify the deletion.  Type 'y' for yes and press enter.

Code:
[root@server setup]# rm /etc/webmin/samba/swat
rm: remove regular empty file `/etc/webmin/samba/swat'? y

It should be noted that the latest version of webmin is Webmin 1.410.

Also you can try and upgrade your webmin using webmin and going to the webmin configuration screen which is located under
the webmin drop down at the top left hand corner when you login into your webmin. One of the selections inside the webmin configuration
page is Upgrade webmin. This does not always work, so if it does not, you will have to follow the instructions given in the previous
reply.

Hope this helps.

I would recommend upgrading webmin using the original post in this thread but with the latest version of Webmin RPM, since this way works always Wink
