Hey, can someone a little more 'informed' than I advise:

Does the Managed Hosting plan involve restarting MySQL if it falls over?

Yes, MySQL is being monitored with managed addons, and, if MySQL alerts in our monitoring system, sysadmins will try to fix that which may involve restarting databases.

OK...just thought I'd ask. Thankyou for the information.

MySQL on my site went down for almost 11 hours last night, without any restart. I have restarted it myself after diagnosing the problem, and will now submit a ticket asking why the oversight may have occurred.... seems that the techs should have gotten to it within this timeframe?  Confused

Hello,

More than likely the oversight occurred because the service didn't alert in the monitoring system for a some reason. Better to find the cause via a ticket, which you have already started doing Wink.
