Hello Everyone,

I am on VPS & I need a suggestion from you people, should I need to install "PHP Accelerator" (PHPA) (http://www.php-accelerator.co.uk) for increasing the site performance?
What are the pros & cons of it eg. memory consumption & site speed etc.?

I say backup your VPS.... install PHPA...and report back here with your results.

Go for it!

As for pros and cons... this is a very popular topic discussed all over the place in forums...  you'd be better off looking elsewhere and researching the pros vs. cons.  It's highly dependent on what your doing...and what you're trying to accomplish, and what you might do in the future...

This place is better on answering the "How?" type questions...not the "Why?"

Is your issue truly with PHP or the database?  Database access is the slowest operation. Look into a cache system like memcache....

Hello,

I fully agree with the both opinions provided above. First, you need to ensure PHP scripts are your current bottleneck for the site. If this is the case, all popular PHP  accelerators showing good results without significant drowbacks.
