Hello, I am considering upgrading from the basic service to a VPS. One thing I am very concerned about is the actual download speed. I realize the hardware will be shared but since I run an online business that sells downloads I need to know if this could improve. The shared service I have is great but the speeds are terrible for most people who download from me.

How much is the bandwidth shared on a VPS vs Basic Shared? What is the actual bandwidth speeds? What are the solutions to ensure I will be good speeds if I make a switch?

Thank you for your time,

Riki

Hi Riki,

On VPS, you will be sharing the server connection with only around 20 customers where as it is spitted between hundreds accounts on the shared one, so you may expect speed increase on VPS plan. This plan comes with 1TB (1000 Gigs) of data transfer.

As for the actual speeds, they depend not only from the server connection but also from the load on networks the traffic has to come before it gets to your computer so the best way to check them is to sign up for the plan and try the speeds. If they won't suit your needs, you can always use the 30 days money back guarantee.

I hope this helps.
