I have Apache version 2.0.52
Is it worth it to upgrade to the latest version? would the server run faster? safer? Is this a pretty routine thing that you can shut your site down for a few hours to do or it's more involved than that?
Thanks

Hi Lunarlander,

I would recommend upgrading to Apache 2.2 only, if you need it, and not just because there is new branch of the program available. Upgrade time will depend on how customized configuration of Apache on your server is. More custom settings and modules may require more time to get them working.

I have done 0 customization on the Apache on my server. That's why I thought I might as well upgrade before I customize since they have some added security features. Think I should go head?
