When I was first getting Plesk all setup and what not, it did generate a service unavailable error and said it had an issue with the state I was in (Missouri). Logout and login fixed it though.

I haven't had much time to play with it, but that was the only thing I had trouble with so far.

Looking over this, it looks way different than shared, well Doh!

What kind of support will be available for customers who are going from shared to VPS? Ideally I would like someone when I am getting ready to make the move look over my account, listen to my ideas then tell me what I need.

I could sort of try to figure it out myself but I am try to keep the move as stress free as possible.
I don't want to call customer support just to find out I didn’t order what was needed. I really hate calling customer support and just to find out I screwed things up.

I think I am getting it. First you create a domain in plesk. Then make sure the domain points to it. Then upload your files via a FTP program.

See I told, ya I had very little experience (I 've got mainly basic design exp.). This is probably more of a learning experience for me, which I REALLY appreciate.

Support is setting up a Beta account for me now, anyone have any input on SSL certs, VPS has a dedicated IP, so it would work, I have several sites offering free SSL certs, not sure if it will work. John

I've found that a few times I've been working in Plesk and run into errors because  its 'not enabled' for my account.

Not quite as nice as dedicated Wink

But pretty sweet for the price.

Ed,

It can be a license restriction not VPS. Although, more details are needed to give an exact answer.

It was strange - not something I couldn't do, but rather the way I tried to do it didn't work, but another way did. I think It resolved itself with time.

No complaints recently though Smile

WIN VPS ::

#1
after initailization of remote desktop (Microsoft RDP ActiveX)
"stock over flow at line 296" pop up appear, but i can still do remote desktop.

#2
1 or 2 frame after login contains the following:
Fatal error: Unknown function: mb_internal_encoding() in C:\SWSoft\Plesk\admin\plib\messages.php on line 18
after clicking on a menu (or refreshing the frame), the frame loads properly again.

does lunarpage have a pricing set for win vps? is it going to be a little higher than linux vps?

Hi skamfroj,

Windows VPS are still in beta testing and there are no costs for it yet. To help us to fix the error messages you are getting, please PM me or email the support at vps@lunarpages.com with exact steps how the problems can be reproduced and we will be happy to fix them.

Thank you.
