I am having a few issues with upgrading to apache 2.2.* and a few yum errors

1. I would like to update to httpd 2.2.8 but it seems that the repositories for centOS do not list it as an update. Is there any other way to accomplish this?

2. I would like to get BCmath installed for php and when I run "yum update php-bcmath" I get the following:
Error: Missing Dependency: libc-client.so.1 is needed by package dsmphp
Error: Missing Dependency: ming is needed by package dsmphp
Error: Missing Dependency: dsmapache >= 1.3.31 is needed by package dsmphp
Error: Missing Dependency: libswf is needed by package dsmphp
Error: Missing Dependency: libsybdb.so.4 is needed by package dsmphp

I have read around and it seems that it is trying to install dsmapache for apache 1.3 instead of 2.0 (which is what is installed on my system). Not sure how to resolve this...

3. Every time I run yum I get the following line:
Warning, could not load sqlite, falling back to pickle

read around and found someone else who has this issue but they had some things installed in /usr/local/{lib,bin} but I don't have anything in either directories...

Just wondering where to go next, any help is much appreciated.

Hello Phorbidden,

Let me to try to reply on your questions:

You can build it manually from sources or try to find 3rd party repositories for CentOS or Redhat Enteprise linux as these two distro's are compatible.

Error: Missing Dependency: libsybdb.so.4 is needed by package mdsphp

It looks like there is already installed or being tried to install mdsphp package which has some unresolved dependencies.

Do you have python-sqlite rpm installed?

1. I will have to look further into that, seems that CentOS5 boasts of having it with it's install, but I am sure that a OS upgrade is a bad idea.

2. Maybe so... I tried to get curl working a while back, but I figured out that I had PHP Safe-mode enabled in Plesk and once I removed the check for that I could utilize curl. But other than that I am not sure if I tried to install mdsphp, but when I tried to yum install that it says it cannot find it. Should I RPM it?

3. Maybe, I will need to check that out.

Hi,

Please check for dsmphp package, I'm sorry but I mistyped its name in my previous reply calling it mdsphp. Additionally, it is not possible to update OS inside VE.
