If one wanted to be invisible on the net, how would you go about it, i gather setting my firewall is the go but don't want to put my head up my $#$ doing it. i use zone alarm pro and neowatch. Shadow

You can use a proxy server to surf the net or for FTP you are not invisible, but the ip reflected by you surfing, FTP or posting in a forum will reflect the ip of the proxy server making your ip anonymous. (sort of speak)

True. The only way to be truly invisible is with a real proxy. But, that proxy would have to contain an email server which would munge headers, somthing which, at least for bulk mailing, is illegal.

The FBI has the best Invisibility, if you try to scan for their ip, their system will return your ip. LOL

Well someone on here knows how to do it, nearly every time i see the list of people and there is always this person invisible, any hoo maybe the fbi will tell me how to do that trick... why were you scanning them anyhoo...yeah i know just to see if you could... thanks for the help guys Shadow

is there any other way to hide your IP in mirc than to use anon proxy to enter? I notice in the window title there is you entire IP information.
