We will be scanning our servers for the following installations and advising customers to check for regular updates:

Important
The initial scans will email an advisory notice only, the subsequent scans will be disabling any scripts that are not updated.
Please understand that these measures are for the security of your server and will help to prevent unwanted file inclusions and hacks, whilst ensuring the stability of all accounts.

Thank you in advance for your patience and understanding.

Just got one of these alerts and want to thank you for providing such a good service.  I have updated the scripts which your automated system (correctly) identified as in need of updating/patching.  It's really good to have a prompt like this, an unexpected nice surprise to get some help staying secure.

Thanks Smile

No, they are allowed - we just recommend using the very latest version of any script you install, to prevent any security issues.

I've been using a guestbook called Viper.  I originally downloaded it here on Lunarpages.  Since it was attacked yesterday, it probably should be added to the scripts to check.  I removed all my links to it and will remove the software later.
