I don't know if this is the right section to ask but i hope someone can help!

One of my website members is having trouble getting onto our forum, and gets a screen telling her ""Ooops! This link appears to be broken. Suggestions: View cached copy of page from Google, Go to www.essexmums.org and Search on Google.". She's tried various ways of getting onto the site  but to no avail. However, no-one else is having any problems, everyone else (including me) seems to be able to get onto it fine.
Does anyone know why this would be and what she can do?

It works fine for me... If it still doesnt work for her, she should try to clear the catch in whatever browser she is using.

The first thing is always to try clearing the browser's cache, and/or hitting Ctrl-F5 on the page to force a reload. It's not uncommon for unsophisticated users to think that "erasing the browsing history" is the same as "clearing the cache" -- it's not. You may have to instruct her on how to clear the cache on her particular browser (Ctrl-F5 would be the easier thing to try first).

I'm a bit confused by your description. Is she getting into your site, but unable to follow a link to another page, or is she unable to bring up your site at all? If the former, which link on which page -- maybe you can try it out and make sure this particular link does in fact work. If the latter, I would suspect DNS problems at her ISP. She should double check that she's using the correct name (correct spelling, and .org, not .com). She can bring up a DOS Command Window and run ping essexmums.org to see if it's reachable (Ctrl-C to stop it). tracert essexmums.org can show where it's failing to get through. That information can be forwarded to her ISP to have them take a look at it.

It looks like the link your user is unable to access is for a .php page, but the rest of the pages on your site are .html. This is something I'm not very familiar with, but from googling "unable to access php", it looks like a problem that isn't all that uncommon. It apparently has to do with how the user's computer is configured. If you try googling it, maybe you can find something that will be helpful to your user. Sorry I can't give you more useful info, but maybe it at least heads you in the right direction.

Thanks for your help everyone. We tried lots of things, and in the end I came to the conclusion that it must be a problem with her internet connection as it was happening on both her PC and her laptop, but not for anyone else. So I got her to reset her router and lo and behold, it was fine. Another score for the old 'turn it off and turn it back on again' tactic.  Haha
