Welcome to the new security forum

Here I will be posting all the latest nasties you should look out for, hope all the rest of you do the same and we all will be safe
Here are some latest vulnurabilities.
INTERNET EXPLORER 5.5 ALl version and 6.0 Affected os are windows 95 up to xp xp beeing not vulnurable.
Description : Internet Explorer contains a vulnerability, which could allow an attacker to construct a URL (website) that would display or modify the Cookie information associated with another website.
If a URL is composed in the about: protocol referencing a website, Javascript embedded in the URL can access any Cookies associated with that website via /document . Cookie/. The Javascript executes because of a cross-site scripting condition in the about: protocol. This means a hacker could construct a site that would show him stored credit card data/passwords and so on that are in your Cookies. Such as your lunaprages password, your cc card info at say amazon.com...
Workarounds: Disabling Active Scripting. this means you disable javascript as well since microsoft no longer uses plugins for scripting.
Patches : none yet available, exploit only 4 days old.
That concludes the first edition

Hope this will help some of you to stay safe.
