I've been dealing with this "no score from Spam Assassin" problem on "delta.lunarpages.com" for a while. I opened a helpdesk ticket a while ago and have been going back & forth since, but they haven't really fixed anything. They've restarted SA on the server several times and I don't think it did much if anything--within a couple of days I was getting unscored email. It's not an insignificant number (Rx five in a two hour period), and since it's unscored and not always from the same sender there's not much I do to block it (e.g. changing thresholds or SA flag values).
I'm getting email in three groups, showing that SA is working well in a lot of cases, scoring & blocking a lot of real spam and very little non-spam. I've worked with helpdesk by creating dummy accounts showing that "test spam" gets scored and rejected in the cases we've tried. They seem to have taken the position that since most spam is getting blocked and that "some spam will leak thru a spam filter" that the *unscored* spam isn't a big deal. But I'm thinking that either there's a problem (config, obsolete version) with Spam Assassin or that some spammers have figured a way around it. It is interesting that the X-Spam headers *do* get inserted in the emails but no score is added.
I can keep harping on helpdesk for my ticket (ODNL4704NHY1) but it doesn't seem to be doing any good. Obviously at least *one* other person has had the problem and had it corrected (is there a ticket # I can reference for this?). Anybody else seeing this?
