Our datacenter in Los Angeles experienced a power failure to the floor that houses our server cage this afternoon.  As a result, all Lunarpages services served from Los Angeles were offline for approximately 35 minutes.

The power failure was not handled properly by the datacenter's generators due to the fact that the entire building did not lose power.  They were not keyed to react to failures on individual floors.  We are currently discussing that issue with the datacenter management to ensure that any potential power loss in the future triggers the start of the generators.  This will ensure that services do not go offline should this occur again in the future.

We are sincerely sorry for the outage and are working to restore all services as quickly as possible.
