I wasn’t sure to post this here or in the sales email. I’ve been doing quite a few researches on the best web hosting providers and Lunarpages.com definitely is on the top of the list. Though I have some questions before made up my mind since I’ve already made a mistake with my current provider. So I made a list with many newbie questions, sorry for that, but I hope you can answer them to me. Please if there's a question not enough clear let me know it since this is not my native language.

1.- Does the download speeds depend on my ISP and how far the host is from my ISP? E.g. my ISP and mostly the entire users of my sites have the ISPs in Mexico and your servers are in NY. How does that will affect? Or do you have more servers around the world? if so this brings us into the next question:

2.- How many servers do you have around the world and in which locations?

3.- Lunarpages have 2Gbps of throughput or connectivity network. Is this correct? Or am I getting wrong?  Other web hosting claims to have 20Gbps but I think that’s made up or how does it measure?

4.- Let clarify this. I have six different domains with their own websites each one. Can all of them be stored in the same Basic plan hosting? If so

5a.- How does the bandwidth is distributed in each one or can I setup that?

5b.- Similarly How does the space is distributed in each one or can I setup that as well?

6.- About the transfer domains, I’m going to transfer one by one in a period of five month, do you think that could cause any trouble?

7.- And you offer a FREE Domain Name for Life. Can it be com.mx or it’s restricted to .com only?

8.- My current hosting contract ends till November in the first site that I want to transfer. I see Lunarpages will add my remaining duration from my old host onto my Lunarpages account up to six months.  Thumbs Up What would you need from me to prove you that?
Again sorry for this long questionnaire but I have to decide this week. Confused

Best regards.

Hi David!

We'll be more than happy to answer your questions here.  To answer your first question, I would say that the connection between yourself and the server does play some into how quickly your site may come up.  However this isn't often a problem in most cases.  Our servers are located in California and Nevada but we host people from all around the globe.

You can host as many addon domains as you have room to support on the Basic or Business hosting plan.  You couldn't separate the disk space usage and bandwidth per domain though - they all take it out of the same shared chunk.  With domain name transfers - I see no problems with doing them one by one at all.  We are ready to take them when you are ready to send them our way.  The free domain name for life can be a .com, .net, .org, .name, .us, .ca, .co.uk, .biz, and/or .info.  Your choice!

More information (including what is needed as proof of hosting) for the hosting transfer deal can be found here:
http://www.lunarpages.com/special_offer.php

For more information about the backend of our services - check here:

I hope that helps and if there is anything else we can do for you please feel free to let us know.  We are here to help with anything else you might need.  Thank you for your time.
