I am looking to buy your service and have few questions first:

I see the difference between the two plans (Basic and Business), and I only need the basic for my 12 domains/sites.

I am only worry that the you have so many clients on that plan, that the quality may suffer. The price is ridiculously cheap and the whole world should be on your servers. Smile

Would I get better quality to go with business plan? I don't really needed for the size or bells & whistles it's just been more expensive, my logic is that the servers are not so populated like the basic.

I am sorry if I am so direct, but I am having problem with my present host. Lots of downtime and email is not getting delivered. I am only using 7 Gigs of bandwidth and very little disk space.
I am good guy who just want a reliable, trouble free host and willing to pay for it.

Also, if I would go with one year payment would you migrate/transfer all my 12 sites and make them work? Free or?
Two have MySql (one each) and I am lost in that department.

TIA

If the Basic plan offers everything you need then go with it. Lunarpages doesn't overload their servers. They make sure the quality is there by constantly watching their servers for anything that may slow them down.

I haven't heard anything about Basic and Business plans being segregated onto different servers. As far as I know, they're mixed on the same servers. The Business plan essentially gives you a few extras (more storage, more free domain names, a free dedicated IP address?), which may or may not be worth the extra cost to you.

I think LP got out of the business of transferring sites for free. I'm sure they'll do it under contract if you wave enough money in front of them. If you want to try to do it yourself, there are plenty of people around these forums to answer your questions and try to lead you through any problems. There are also a few who can take on the job for a fee. Anyone would have to discuss exactly what's on all your sites before they could begin to quote a figure.

Thanks for the answers. It's good to know. I don't need extra space or IP, so basic looks just fine.

I can easily move the sites except the one with MySQL. That one makes me nervous and can be down for long.
I can't take any chances.
I just checked and only one has MySQL (I had two, but give one to my son)

I am checking few hosts and most offer free migration. I wasn't sure about this one, that's why I asked.

Anyone from support can let me know or should I shoot email?

Thank you all.

BTW: what's the best way to move sites from server to server? Could the settings, paths, forms etc. be the same?

Basic and Business accounts are on the same servers. The difference is just in what they offer.

We don't transfer the files for you. However, for the one with Mysql, we can help by importing the database for you if you upload a backup of it to your account here. We can also help with hooking it back up to the script if you tell s what script is using it and where. You would email support for that help. Get everything moved over and changed before changing the nameservers to point to us and there should be very little downtime.

The paths, database name, and database user will change since your username here will be different. Usernames are assigned by the server to avoid duplication and cannot be changed. If you need any help, just ask support. We'll be glad to help make the transition as smooth as possible.
