I am a long time happy customer of LP.

I have a friend that wants to register a domain name but it may be a few months before she needs a hosting plan.
Can she just register the domain name for now for a fee with LP and then buy a hosting plan later?

Thanks for the quick response. Now for a follow up question.

My friend would go with the basic hosting plan. She wants a domain name with the number "2" in the name. The same domain name with "to" instead of "2" is also available. I think I will recommend that she get both so there is no confusion.

If she got both domain names, she would want both to point to the same site.

With the basic plan it says she can get an add-on domain name free. Would that work for what she wants? Can she get both domain names through LP, point them both to the same site under the basic plan and not incur any additional cost for the 2nd domain name?

And do I get any freebies for referring a friend to LP  <grin>
