Does affiliates get full commission if the customer (who clicks my referal link and buys hosting) uses the Coupon spring ($4.95) or any other coupon? In any circumstance or instance will affiliate gets the commission if customer uses coupon?

What are the hidden coupons and special coupons available for the affiliates to give for affiliate customers?

If I work through CJ won't I get more/equal benefits than doing Directly with you?

If I work thru CJ will I get commissions on the sales done by my customer (1st level or 2nd level sales commission)?

What is the bandwidth or speed of basic hosting servers?

I am a web designer and developer. Do you have any offers to give to my customers (discounts on hosting and domain registeration etc..)?

Can I pay my customers bills to LP and change the address and billing after a period of time? What would be the processor?

Do you give more discounts on hosting plans who subscribe for more than 2 years?

On the affiliate questions, I have asked a member of our affiliate team to come in as soon as they can to get those tackled for you.  Usually with the affiliate deal, if you are a webmaster or designer doing web sites for your clients the best setup would be:

  • Sign up yourself for the affiliate plan
  • Have your customers/clients click through your affiliate link to sign up
  • Let them manage the billing side of things with us, and you get a cut of the profits

You can find the details of the Basic hosting plan here:

http://www.lunarpages.com/basic-hosting/

The most a person could sign up for at a time would be for two years max.  If you want to have more control over your customers, how much you bill them and act as your own mini hosting company you may want to look at our Reseller hosting plan here:

http://www.lunarpages.com/reseller-hosting/

I hope that helps and if there is anything else we can do for you please feel free to let us know.  We are here to help with anything else you might need.  Thank you for your time.

Yes!! The coupon code SPRING is okay to use for ALL affiliates.  Happy Happy Joy Joy So you'll always get your full commission using Spring as long as it's used in conjunction with your Affiliate Tracking URL. If you're in the Internal Program, there is a way to add the coupon code directly to your tracking URL so that the coupon stores and they must follow your URL to make that happen. That URL looks like this:

http://www.lunarpages.com/id/AFFILIATENAME/secure/order:basic,COUPONNAME

Quote

At this time, there are ONLY 4 coupon codes you can use and still receive your affiliate commission:
  • SPRING = $48 off 24month Basic Plan (available to July 30, 2008)
  • WIN3 = 3 months free on 12/24month Windows Hosting Plan
  • 25OFFHOSTING = $25 off 12/24month Basic, Business, Windows, or LPQuicksite
  • 2FREEMONTHS = 2 additional months added to any 24month Basic, Business, Windows, or LPQuicksite

Please note that the use of ANY other coupons negates your commission.

Our internal program and CJ are both great programs. With our internal program, we can match the CJ rate if you'd like to make things equal. You do not receive 2nd tier sales via CJ, nor do you have the opportunity for protected and unique coupon codes, LP-hosted landing pages, and the tracking links as I showed above. Please send me a PM with your affiliate username if you sign up for our Internal Program so I can make sure you get CJ's rate per sale.

Also, if you do want to sign up for more than 2 years, give us a call at 714-521-8150 so we can arrange that for you. We don't promote it, but there is the option for 3-5 year hosting plans.

As a web designer, you can sign clients up using your own billing and/or payment information. Just send me a PM with your affiliate username if you'd like to be able to do this so I can note your affiliate account.

Omg, this was a really long reply.  Not Me Hope it helped!

Yes, unfortunately that means that particular coupon negated your affiliate commission. Please see my ticket for some options that'll help you out.

Heart Thanks Tiara  Heart

Omg, this was a really long reply.  Not Me Hope it helped!
I appreciate your concern; its in detail and hope your reply is not long but my question.  Yep

What is the average bandwidth or speed or download time of basic hosting servers? Can I request for improvement in speed for lil extra payment?

Do you have backup facility for basic hosting plans? Any charges?

I refer a customer (who comes to LP thru my affiliate link) I get commission. After few days or more years, the same customer directly (without clicking my affiliate link) creates new hosting account, will I get commission again?

Will I get commissions on the sales done by my customer (1st level or 2nd level sales commission)?

Does domain sales earns me any commission?

What about 1st level (customer, its ok) and 2nd level (customer came from my customer) level commissions when working directly?

I went thru many other's questions and answers in this forum. Can I take it for granted all those answers given by LP Associates... or ... for the answers given to me alone?

Is it okay to ask few critical questions or would prefer other way like email?

I have few questions related to Tax, I would appreciate if you provide your phone number and convenient time to call reach you in IST (+5:30 GMT).

Heart Thanks Tiara  Heart

Happy to hear your interest in Lunarpages for your hosting needs.  For a speed test, I would recommend checking out some of the signature links around here from other clients, or testing here:

http://www.lunarpages.com/speedtest/

With backups, if you need to restore and it isn't the fault of LP (or the fault of the server) it will cost $75 per hour (with the minimum of one hour).  If you add the premium restore service to your hosting order, you can have access to our backups to restore from them at any time.  We also recommend that customers keep personal backups of their data too (can never be too safe!)  The Premium Restore Service costs only $1.50 per month billed in one sum for the remainder of your hosting term when added.

I have asked Tiara (if she doesn't beat me to posting) to come in here and answer some of your affiliate questions.  If you have any other sales issues to discuss or if you would like for one of our sales people to give you a call please e-mail sales@lunarpages.com and I can get that setup for you.

Thanks!

I get hearts?  Surprised hehe thanks!

Regarding the affiliate stuff:

Maybe. This one's hard to answer without knowing when the person signs up or if they have clicked elsewhere beforehand. Your affiliate cookie will store for 120 days as long as no other affiliate cookie is stored in its place. So if the customer clicks on your URL, buys hosting, and then two days later goes straight to Lunarpages.com without clicking on any other affiliate URLs or using affiliate coupons, you'll get the commission for the second account as well.

Quote
Will I get commissions on the sales done by my customer (1st level or 2nd level sales commission)?

Yep! You get $5 per sale your customers bring in!

Quote
Does domain sales earns me any commission?

No, because at this time we do not just register domain names. All customers must purchase a NEW hosting plan to qualify for a commission.

I'm not sure what you mean by "for the answers given to me alone" but if you're asking about relaying those details elsewhere, you may certainly do so. You can ask any questions, via email, forums, telephone, etc. No worries!  Grinning You can call us at 714-521-8150 and hit the affiliate extension from the menu options. However, I can't advise you about the tax form, as that would be illegal. Basically fill it out to the best of your abilities and we will let you know if anything is amiss.

If I opt for PR Service, will it cost $75? If I don't opt for PR Service can't I restore or won't you take backups?

Does hosting plans have administrator ids (to give permission and restrictions to other employees/members to work on the hosting a/cs) ie multiple admin ids for single host a/c?
Happy Happy Joy Joy Thank you Mitch for your quick responses and for waking up of Tiara  Happy Happy Joy Joy

Maybe. This one's hard to answer without knowing when the person signs up...
If I know that my customer created new hosting a/c after expiry of cookie and inform you the same, will I get commission?

Can you tell me your convenient time to call you in IST?

If you add the premium restore service to your account, restoring from our backups will be free.  You'll just have to let us know when you need it, and we do it all for you.  You can also do your own backing up too.  With admin IDs, you would only have one login set (user name and password) for your hosting account and at this time cPanel doesn't support giving those right to more than one login - so be very careful who you share it with.

I created my affiliate with you. Please have a look and I also gave you PM.

Q: Do you register domain (free) on our name or on your name? Can I transfer domains to other services, if needed, to other companies without any strings?

Domains are registered to the account owner's name, not ours. The domain is yours to do with as you wish including transfering it elsewhere. However, it is only free as long as it is hosted here. If you cancel the account within the first 30 days of opening or renewal, you will have to pay for the domain.
