Hi!
I'm still planning to move all my domains to a basic account, but I was wondering if you can handle italian names server (italian registra, NIC, is pretty noisy about names servers) so that I can point my dns to you NS, instead of having my dns handled by my registrar and pointed to an IP (I should buy as an addon)
This is vital to me... I don't want to start moving my NS just to hav NIC refusing to recognise my .it domains! (appened to me once on a different hosting)
CAn I buy the dedicated IP on a second step if needed? I am in a hurry, since I don't want spring coupon to expire before I buy my account!

A second stupid question: I cannot apply for free domain name if I register to you with my exixting .it domain, true?

Hello, thank you for your interest in Lunarpages for your hosting needs.  We could not act as the domain name register for that type of domain name, but you could register the domain name elsewhere and host with us, as long as your domain name register allows you to change where your nameservers are pointing (to our nameservers).

It should not be a problem to simply point your DNS registration (.it) to a Lunarpages nameserver. I can't answer for sure your question about how a dedicated IP address works with this. I don't recall ever hearing that you had to change your DNS entry or anything like that -- is that what you're asking? I don't think your registrar needs to know anything about your dedicated IP address. However, before committing time and money on my answer, I'd get a second opinion from support or sales. Just email your question to support@lunarpages.com (which will open a support ticket), if Mitch or Katrina1 don't get here first with the answer.

If you bring your own domain name to the party, you will still be able to use a free domain name some time in the future. You don't lose it by not exercising that right immediately. If at some time in the future you want to get a domain (for an add-on) that the Tucows/Lunarpages registrar supports, you can get one for free.
