I'm looking to switch hosting provider and I run a Joomla site.  I searched the forums and only see a couple of recent posts on Joomla. This could be good - no big issues or bad not a lot of people running Joomla here.  I've heard mixed reports on the joomla forums about lunarpages speed when hosting Joomla  sites (shocker forums mixed reports - LOL). I was wondering:

If some Joomla users can post their urls so I check the sites out?

What version of Joomla is installed in Fantastico?

Thanks.

Joomla is a well written script, and often updated - so you should have no issues using it here with us.  Looking in on my test account here, it looks like the version Fantastico is installing for you is 1.0.14.  Hope that helps and if there is anything else we can do for you please feel free to let us know.

I use Joomla 1.0.13 with Lunarpages basic hosting with no problems.  I'm very satisfied with speed (tested on many platforms and connection speeds), especially since it is contains very large image files.  Have a look:

Also, I plan to redesign once the new Joomla 1.5 is incorporated into the cPanel/Fantastico automated install scripts (currently at 1.0.14).

Mine is www.dollaznsince.com

I did not use Fantistico to install. Just followed instructions from Joomla to install 1.5.0. I just recently applied the patch for the stable version of v1.5.3 with no problems so far. Remember there is no upgrade from v1.0 directly to Joomla to 1.5. So I would not install the 1.0 if you want the latest stable version in the future.
