3. With your domain name register, update your nameservers so your domain name there points to your hosting space with us.
4. Once you are sure everything is moved over and you didn't leave anything behind, then you can cancel the old hosting account.
Update my nameservers? Not sure what this means, but I believe my domain name is registered with my current host (does this make sense?), and they aren't answering my emails regarding this task (they do not have a contact phone number). I've been using them for about 6 years now, and don't recall going to another party for the name register when I started. Can they hold my domain hostage? It is, after all,
my actual name...
That said, I don't even know how to cancel my account... they won't respond.
