Hello,

A friend of mine wants to start a webste where independent bands cold upload their music and other people could stream it.
Of course, the music would be legal since the authors are the ones uploading it.

My questions are:

1. Is it possible to stream the music or videos? Using a script working like youtube i suppose.
2. Would you guys limit the resources?.. i mean... we supposedly would have 1500gb space and 15000gb bandwidth, but some (if not all) hosts limit the usage of either those things, or CPU load, etc...

Thanks

Nick.

I don't think you should have any issues with this.  Might depend some on what you are going to use to produce the backend of it.  Some of the YouTube-clone scripts out there are known to be very resource hungry, so if you could stay away from compressing video to flash on the server side (unless you want to move up to VPS or Dedicated) you should be good to go.
