Hi all, I'm new here and I'm thinking of purchasing a hosting package but I would like to have something cleared up before I do.
I'm in the UK (Please don't hold that against me

) I have a 16mb copper connection but in fairness, I live a distance away from my exchange so the best I get is 5.5mb. I can d/l from other sites like apple (I use a mac) at this speed (5.5mb) all day long if need be, but when I use your 100MB test file, the best I can get is 320kb and when I use the 2 different 10MB files in the post, they both d/l at 295kb. Also, when I click on a link to any of Lunar's pages, I get a lag of about 5 seconds before the page starts to load. I know all sorts of things can contribute to this but I've a fairly good system (Quad G5 2.5ghz 4Gig of Ram top end grfx card) so its not down to my system and tests using other sites in USA both before and after show that I get my full speed with them.
I have done a trace route and ping to both LP.co.uk LP.com and the results are below, you tech's will be able to see if they're good or bad better than I.

I stopped it again at 16 as I assumed it was going nowhere or somewhere it shouldn't be.
So are these any good? Why are your pages slow to start when I click on them?
Also, I would like to know, if lets say, I had an account, and ten or twenty peeps were to d/l the same file off my site at the same time, is the bandwidth speed going to be shared between them all slowing the d/l down to a trickle or will they all get the full bandwidth?
My last point, (honest) what are the upload speeds as I need my customers to be able to upload files to me up to 300MB I would imagine and I will need to upload files sometimes above 1GB at a time. Not for storing, for them to d/l their DVD that I will have made them from their uploaded files.
My own upload speed is 768 and I do reach those speeds but I may be changing to an ISP that offers 3mb upload with 24mb d/l soon so can your sites handle that?
Hope you can answer me these questions?
Thanks very much in advance, hope to be a customer soon as my host at the moment is USELESS! (Siteground.com) you can read my review here
